The life of a fundraiser ...
When moving to 11 St Anne’s Close Whitstone in 1986 I started raising money for charity by holding a coffee morning for The Robert Johns Leukaemia Fund, raising £200. I enjoyed it so much that I set
myself a target of £20,000. So over the past 25 years I have run a 10 mile sponsored run, held 3 birthday parties, disco’s, music nights, coffee mornings, cream teas and of course plant sales. I have supported twelve charities and in June 2011 reached my goal.
With the £1390.50 raised this year the total money raised is £20,722.50.
