Bude Police are searching for a male in the Poundstock, Widemouth, Marhamchurch area who they need to speak to  to assist with an investigation they are conducting. He is described as a white male, approximately 50 years of age, with an Irish accent believed to be sleeping rough in the area. We have received a report of a cold caller phoning a resident purporting to be from a well known computer software company telling her she has a computer virus, this is a scam, please do not follow their advice to 'fix' the problem. Although no criminal activity was recorded and the lady did not give out any personal information we would like to remind residents to be very wary of callers and please do not give personal information, any legitimate company will understand your refusal.
